The girls have been threatening to score a hatful of goals for some time now and today they did exactly that.
They hit eleven – their biggest win of the season – against a Clee Town team that fought all the way but untimately had no answer to the firepower of the Ravers.
The writing was on the wall for Clee Town as early as the second minute when Alex scored our first goal from a corner.
Goals came regularly all through the first half. Chloe scored the first and second of her haul of seven, Jodie weighed in with a nice goal, then Alex scored again and finally Chloe completed a first half hat-trick.

Jodie volunteered to stay in goal during the second half (thanks Jodie!) but she was a spectator for most of the game. But the one time Clee Town did break through she pulled off a great point blank save to deny the Clee striker.
The second half went much the same way as the first. Chloe scored our seventh and eighth goals, Lauren scored our ninth and Chloe added the tenth and eleventh.
In between all the goals we created a lot of chances. Chloe could have scored ten, Alex very nearly completed her hat-trick with a fierce shot from twenty yards while Leah and Macey came very close on a couple of occasions.
I suppose it goes without saying that this was a good performance :)
Stats:
- The girls have scored fifty-nine goals this season and conceded thirteen.
- Today was our sixth clean sheet of the season.
- We have nine more league games and at least one cup match to play this season.
