The girls started slowly on Griffin’s impressive 3G pitch at Cherry Willingham but, despite ?the heat, they soon picked up the pace and by the end of the match they were playing some impressive football.
After a little ‘wake up!’ chat at the end of the first period of play, the whole team played well. Lauren and Macey put in very powerful performances and it was nice to see Chloe getting back to her old goalscoring ways.
New girls Misha and Louise played as though they’d been with the team for ages and it was good to see Leah, Rhiannan and Alex getting their heads up and passing the ball around.
Lucy – playing her first full game in goal for the Ravers – only touched the ball two or three times and didn’t have a single shot to save.
Good stuff.
