A special match report by Macey and Lauren J.
Ravers started off with a disastrous first ten minutes. Lincoln Griffins scored a goal within the first 20 seconds – nobody knowing it went it! Then the girls had a confidence boost, when Rhiannan scored the first goal with an excellent set up by Macey!
After the goal the girls decided to shape up and Steve felt confident to move Leah into Midfield – leaving only two defenders. There was some fantastic tackles by Lauren at the back. Lucy and Olivia also played great in defence and did some great tackles. Alex pulled off an amazing save in the first half. Just before half time Leah put the ball in the bottom right hand corner with a superb finish to the first half. Leaving Broughton 2-1 up.
Ravers kicked off second half with a smile on their faces and started to dominate the opposition. After a few near misses Leah crossed the ball into the box and Hannah banged it into the net. Leah rounded off a comfortable victory by scoring another goal!
This was a very good performance by the girls against Lincoln Griffins who in their previous games had scored 14 goals winning both of them 7-4.
