Every youth football (soccer) club and every youth soccer league needs a professionally designed, interactive website.
For youth soccer clubs, a well designed presence on the internet engages existing players and their parents, helps to attract new players and opens doors to funding.
For youth soccer leagues, a high quality website is essential – it’s the first place that clubs look for information and advice. An out-of-date or badly designed website (or no website at all!) will greatly increase the the workload of league officials and creates a poor image.
The trouble is, good websites are often quite expensive and time consuming to set up and maintain. And to get one that is specifically designed for your club could cost an arm and a leg (or a weeks wages for Wayne Rooney).

And static, featureless sites are boring.
If you want your players and their parents to keep coming back to your site you need to provide interesting content and a way for them to interact with you.
If you’re clever enough you can build yourself an interesting, feature-rich website. But even if you do have the skills it takes many hours to design a really good site.
And then there’s the hosting to sort out. That takes more time and it’s very easy to make an expensive mistake if you don’t know which of the thousands of hosting companies to choose.
I guess it’s not surprising that so few youth soccer clubs have modern, interesting websites…
