Result: lost in semi final on penalties.
The girls warmed up for their big weekend at Butlins with some confident performances at the UK Football Tours tournament in Filey today.
We played four matches in the U12 group stages, winning one, losing one [I'm still not sure how!] and drawing two.
These five points got us into a semi final play off against two teams from the Hull area. We won the first and lost the second. Both matches went to penalties but the girls coped well with what is a pretty horrible way to decide the outcome of a match.
But in the end we just missed out on playing in the final.
Overall, it was a success. The girls put in some very good team performances against teams that were a year older than them and they all seemed to have a good time.
