Island girls 0 West Ham 12
West Ham girls under 10s travelled to Canvey Island to take on Island girls and came away with a win and the three points in a game that saw an outstanding performance by the brave talented Island girls young goalkeeper, the game saw Mia Seeley get her first hat trick of the season her second goal being an excellent long range shot that the island girls keeper could only get her finger tips too, it was Mia that opened the scoring, quickly followed by Carson Barry who controlled a high ball brining it down with superb skill and firing into the bottom corner, next up was Jasmine Reilly again coming on as a first half sub and taking no time at all to score a goal, with this came the half time whistle.
After a the break the young Hammers on instructions from the manager to settle down relax and start moving the ball around between themselves, this seemed to work as the girls did just that and there second half performance was the best of the season so far with total domination of the game and Megan Magee scoring first, followed by a great goal from Beau Parker then up stepped Maddie O’Conner with a well-deserved goal after all her hard work creating chances for her team mates.
Next up was Kelly Wealthall who is consistently hitting the target lately, Mia Seeleys long range goal came next one you could watch over and over a wonderful strike, then the ever dependable Carson Barry got her second of the game Mia Seeley hit her hat trick goal, then running up from defence Tessa O’Conner got her first of the season with a well struck goal and to finish the scoring Megan Magee scored her second, this was a great team performance and with a rock solid Defences display from Amber Sallows, Chiara Scholze and the safe hands of Tia Kelk denying any scoring opportunities for the Island girls who must be commended for their excellent attitude during the game never giving up and battling to the end and well done to there very talented young keeper who saved shot after shot.
