These are the rules for the SHLL Fun Day on Sunday.
The match timetable is below the rules.
I have a team of four but if anyone else wants to come, you’re very welcome! Just let me know.

Matches
Matches will be 8 minutes-ish long. So as soon as the whistle goes to end the match (one whistle to cover all pitches), then girls to have a quick drink and move to their next pitch. Only two minutes to do it in. If two players in a team wander off then they stop the other six playing!!!
When the teams are in place on a pitch, if one of the “team managers” holds the match ball in the air, by the side of the pitch, I shall know when everybody is ready to start. All start and finish on the one whistle. Just throw the ball in the air, when you hear the whistle, and away we go.
Fouls
As 4v4 is about fun and technical development, then there is no need for any bone crunching tackles. If there is an obvious foul or handball, then we ignore it, and play on. No need to waste time bringing the ball back to start play again. Proves nothing.
Throw Ins
Can be rolled in by hand, thrown as in normal football, or kicked from a dead ball by the cones.
Goal Kicks
Any ball going over the goal line is brought back into play by a goal kick, anywhere between the goals, irrespective of who knocks it over the line.
Shooting
Shots should be mostly with the inside of the foot, as it will be the last in a series of passes. Pugg Goals are not strong enough to stand a player hitting a thunderbolt from 2 yards, it proves nothing. Please advise the players.
Team Managers/Responsible People
The day is about the girls having fun and learning some technical things. We do not expect managers to be telling playing to pass and move, switch play, etc etc.
There is no record of any scores, wins etc etc. If you can get all 40 odd girls to score individually then great. We also do not have debates about whether the ball crossed the line, did it go over the cones etc etc, we play on and do not waste time, we want nine games of 8 mins each with total enjoyment.
We do not have referees, but we expect you to act responsible at all times. At Marshalls we found the girls to be honest about any ball that went out of play.
Could you please convey this to the parents, as we all know they want to WIN, WIN, WIN, whereas the more important thing is FUN, FUN, FUN
