I wasn’t at this match (so I can’t be accused of watching a different match to everyone else :heh: but I have been told that the girls beat our closest rivals in the league – Westcliffe – without too much difficulty.
The first half was pretty even but our defence held firm (as usual) and Jodie scored after about fifteen minutes to take us into the interval 1-0 up.
We played well in the second half and shut Westcliffe out for long periods.
Jodie scored a stunning second goal and capped a fine individual performance with another goal a few minutes later.
I was delighted to hear that Macey forced her way to the Westcliffe goal line a few minutes before the end of the game, waited for Rhiannan to catch her up and calmly rolled the ball into her path so she could score her first goal of the season. It’s what the Ravers are all about….playing the game in the right spirit and putting the team first. :star:
