Team: Jodie, Leah, Ami, Chloe H, Chloe J, Macey, Lauren, Olivia, Rhiannan.

It was clear from the start of this cup match that this was going to be a tough game.
For first ten minutes there wasn’t much between the two sides. The Ravers had the better chances to score but the ball refused to cross the line.
Then Macey intercepted a Solar goal kick and coolly slotted the ball home from close range.
From that point on we gradually took over the game. The passing between the midfield players was good, our defence was tight and Olivia only had one shot to save. And what a good save it was! The Solar player smashed the ball at her from point blank range but Olivia bravely stood her ground and allowed the ball to strike her on the face, stopping a certain goal.
At half time it was 1-0.
In the second half we continued to play some good football. Jodie and Macey both came close to adding to the score before Chloe H collected a nice pass from Macey just inside the box and scored our second.
Solar never really looked like coming back from that and in the end we won quite comfortably.
What we did well:
1. The defence was very well organised. Lauren and Ami, in particular, are communicating very well and covering for each other when the need arises.
2. As usual there was some great individual runs at goal. With a little more luck we could have scored five or six goals.
What we could do better:
We need to be a bit smarter at passing the ball to open players. Jodie and Chloe H found some great positions near goal but we didn’t find them often enough.
