Carrie Barker Head Women’s Soccer at, NCAA D1 programme, Northern Illinois University came to watch United Sports USA’s female players in a specially arranged showcase event to view potential recruits for the 2010 season. Head Coach, Carrie Barker was very impressed with the talent on show and shall be looking to United Sports USA for her international recruitment in the future.

Female soccer scholarships are offered at over 1600 universities and colleges at the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA level. Within these three governing bodies universities and colleges have various entry requirements, providing prospective student-athletes with the opportunity to find a level of playing and academic study to suit them.
A student on a soccer scholarship represents their university or college soccer team on a full-time basis whilst completing a degree, an opportunity unique to the USA. Academic life is extremely important and soccer players will be expected to maintain a certain level of academic achievement in order to continue to be eligible for funding the next year.
To be considered for a soccer scholarship you should have at least competed at high school level and be committed to becoming a full time student-athlete. University and College Coaches are looking for players who can make an immediate impact and improve their current squads. Therefore, the higher level of achievement you have obtained in the game, the more attractive you will be to them.
It is important that our staff have the opportunity to assess your skills and we will provide a detailed written report about every player assessed. This assessment will determine our opinion on you as a player and allow us to make judgement as to whether you have what it takes to attract scholarship funding. At United Sports USA we offer individual and organised assessment matches for applicants to allow us to watch you in more than one environment.
