Powerade Pulse – Train to YOUR Music!

We’ve discovered this rather nifty downloadable desktop application that scans your music playlist for the songs that really get you going, making training that bit more fulfilling…

The Powerade Pulse application searches for your iTunes, and analyses each MP3 file based on the beats per minute (BPM) of each track. Once it’s done that, the user can create their exercise playlist based on the duration and speed of their exercise, or manually set the BPM of the tracks that they want to train to. There are also five exercise profiles to help you shape your playlist. Once you’ve set how you’d like to train, Powerade Pulse™ will create you a playlist out of the tracks you already own. Once happy with your playlist, the application will deliver it directly to your iTunes, where you can transfer it to your MP3 player and go out training.

Anyone can download the application from Powerade’s website for free; there’s no signup required and it can be kept and used as many times as you like.

The aim is that this will be an evolving process and, by commenting via the application’s feedback function, consumers can help to inform that update process.

Powerade Pulse(™) is the first activity of its kind for an FMCG brand, and almost all other apps that perform a similar function are paid downloads (the most closely related app costing £16 to download).

Powerade Pulse is a downloadable desktop application – for PC (and soon to be available on Mac) – built in Adobe Air using Java.

Download it now, for free, by clicking on the link above!
