The girls played some good football against Solar today and deserved to win the match.
Goalscorers: KT (3), Chloe, Leah, Jodie and Phoebe.
Several players did find the big pitch a bit tiring and a few were caught out of position sometimes but overall the team did well.
The match stats (kindly collected by Dirk) make interesting reading.
They show for example, that:
- Chloe had nine shots of which five were on target,
- Louise made ten saves,
- Leah was caught offside twice and
- Misha made seven successful tackles
I’m sure these stats will become a talking point as next season progresses. No-one will want to appear in the ‘caught offside’ column too often!
