Rochdale AFC Ladies 2 vs Leicester City Women FC 3
City had to battle hard against newly promoted Rochdale to take all three points. Jo Potter rifled home on 37 minutes from a Zira Handley cross to give the Foxes the lead. The score remained the same until the 2nd half. Two minutes into the second period City increased their lead when defender Lauren Impey headed home a Nat Reay corner. Five minutes later on 52 minutes, the home side pulled one back when Nat Brewer headed home a Laura Faux corner. In the 78th minute Rochdale pulled level when Rachel Wood fired home a 20 yard free kick that gave City keeper, Leanne Hall, no chance but City hit the winner in the 88th minute when Courtney Sweetman-Kirk headed home from a Jo Potter corner.
