Relegation threatened Wednesday fought tooth and nail to take the points and thoroughly deserved their victory.
They opened the scoring after 16 minutes when Beth Gingell curled a shot into the corner of the net from an acute angle.
The Foxes got back into the game when Courtney Sweetman-Kirk rifled home from 35 yards from a Vicky Gallagher pass, but two minutes before half time Tanya Rich clipped home to give the Owls an interval lead.
Rich nearly scored again as her shot cannoned off the Foxes post but in the 67th minute Rich fired home for her second.
