Northern Combination
Sheffield FC put the disappointment of a midweek defeat by Sheffield Wednesday behind them to beat Wakefield 6-3 and hold on to the leadership. Nicolle Jepson led the scoring with a hat-trick, with one apiece from Carla Ward, Kayleigh Mitchell and Kerry Parkin.
Salford Ladies made it three wins from three games and are now in second place following their 3-1 victory over Mossley Hill. After falling behind to an early goal, Michelle Ryan headed Salford level and they sealed the points with further strikes from Isha Mundell and Chelsea Scholes.
South Durham RA complete a trio of teams level on nine points and they defeated Liverpool Feds 1-0 to keep up their winning start to the campaign. Kerry Denham scored the only goal of the game during the first half.
Sheffield Wednesday are beginning to find their form and a 5-1 success away to Middlesbrough has taken them into fourth place. Rachel Skeemer netted twice along with Shelley James, Beth Smith and Laura Windle.
South East Combination
Luton Town have taken over at the top of the table on goal difference after they ran out 3-0 winners over Old Actonians. Laveena Betts, Nicola Livingstone and Nicola Henman all found the net for the Bedfordshire side.
Tottenham Hotspur had started the day as leaders but are now in second place despite beating Ipswich Town 2-1. Emma Kayser and Rosi Webb scored the goals to give Spurs their second victory over the Tractor Girls in successive weeks.
Cambridge Women have certainly found their form in front of goal, running out 6-1 victors away to Braintree Town to go third. Nat Richardson scored a hat-trick and the tally was completed by Laura Baker, Laura Bright and an own goal.
Milton Keynes Dons were another team to hit six goals, notching up a 6-2 success at Ebbsfleet Utd who are still searching for their first points. Lauren Goodier and Charly Wright each netted doubles for the Dons, with Christie Turner and Caroline Moran also on target.
Following a defeat the previous Sunday, Enfield Town got back to winning ways as they defeated Lewes 4-2. Miranda Hall and an own goal ensured that Enfield were two ahead at half time and Sara Sinclair added a brace after the break, before Charlotte Bennett and Kirstie Spice pulled goals back for the Sussex side.
Norwich City remain unbeaten so far, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace who claimed their first point of the season. Paige Shorten and Chelsea Garrett were on the scoresheet for Norwich with Palace replying through a double from Sherelle Walters.
South West Combination
It has been a good start so far for Plymouth Argyle and they continue to set the early pace after a 3-0 victory away to Newquay. A typically fiercely contested derby game was settled by goals from Laura Gough, Tash Knapman and Ellis Hillman.
Havant & Waterlooville have also won both of their opening games and their 4-0 local derby success at Southampton Saints has taken them into second place. The Hawks led at half time through a Stacie Murray strike, before sealing the game with three goals in a six-minute second half spell from Jess Lewry, Sabrina Morriss and Jenna Fowlie.
Forest Green Rovers registered their first points of the season with a 3-1 win against Cullompton Rangers. Ella Hitchcox was on target twice for Rovers along with Katie Cook.
After a heavy defeat on the opening day, Swindon Town made the perfect recovery by winning 2-0 away to newly promoted Gloucester City with goals from Natasha Burson and Hayley Huckin.
