Young Hammers in a thriller

West Ham 5 – 5 Tigers

West Ham Ladies youngest side travelled away today to play up a year against an experienced Tigers under 11 side, in what turned out to be one of the most competitive games of the young hammers season with a terrific end to end game with both sides bagging five goals each.
This performance from the young hammers was there best of the season so far with every player giving there all throughout the game and some fantastic passing football being played by both teams.
The game started as it finished at a fast and furious pace the hammers taking a two goal lead with two great goals from Mia Seeley and Carson Barry, but in no time at all the Tigers struck back with two good goals, again it was West Ham that took the lead again with a fantastic goal from Kelly Wealthall, and with this goal came the half time whistle.
With no let-up in pace of the game the second half saw the Tigers again come back with another well taken goal even with good defensive performances from Chiara Scholze, Tessa O’Conner, Amber Sallows and Tia Kelk in goal the Tigers still found the net, as with the first half the game swung to the Hammers with some excellent midfield play from Maddie O’Conner ,Megan Magee and Carson Barry its wasn’t long before the hammers took the lead again with the best goal of the game with Beau Parker linking up with Megan Magee for a great through ball to be played to the feet of Jasmine Reilly who’s shot from the edge of the box almost took the goal over as it hit the net, but again the Tigers came back with another great goal from there talented forward line.
With time running out on the game it was left to Mia Seeley to get her second of the game and what looked like the winner with only minutes to play, but again the Tigers battled back to grab a late equaliser in what was a great advert for girls football with both teams running themselves into the ground.
